The last 3 weeks have been such an emotional roller coaster for me. I have been staying in my childhood home here in Brooklyn New York. The neighborhood has changed a lot. As I see more white faces. It has not completely become gentrified but there is a hint of it around me.

I still see extreme poverty. I still see broken people and a neglected community. I see children who are in need of help. And a system that has failed them.

THE SENSELESS DEATH OF A 17-YEAR-OLD YOUNG BLACK MAN

I attended the funeral of a 17-year-old young black male. He had been shot down by gang members in his community. As I watched his mom cry over his casket I asked myself where is BLM? Where are the media?  Where is the outrage over the death of this black man at the hands of another young black man who is broken and still roams the streets of lawless Brooklyn streets? I spoke to the Police Department. The Deputy explained to me that in the last six months there have been 89 murders in the community. EVERY MURDER WAS AT THE HANDS OF BLACK MEN WHO KILLED OTHER BLACK MEN.  In the meantime, the Mayor is laughing about the defunding of the police and the fact that the streets smell so badly of marijuana.

I saw him in a press conference this week literally in glee that the streets of New York smell like everyone is smoking weed. For some reason, this made him very happy.  My question to him was what about the children who inhale this in the streets as they play or walk to school?

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

I need you to contribute to my nonprofit The Stacy Francis Music Arts And Education Foundation so we can make some children here happy. I want to give them a glimpse of what happiness feels like. Living in this environment can take its toll on the spirit of a child. And I am not making any claims that by giving them toys we can take away the problems of the community but it can help them dream bigger. and give them hope.

Please donate here

I just wanted to give you a glimpse of the environment that they are living in.

My aunt has a Christian Church in New York that has been in operation and helping the black community for more than 55 years. We would host an event at her Church to give the children toys and raise money for any families in need that also need groceries.

The Stacy Francis Music Arts and Education Foundation has fed over 150,000 meals thus far. Let’s help the families here who need us.

The government is in fact letting them down! IT’S A FACT. I am looking at the vast evidence of it in front of my eyes.

A conversation with YE

Last week I had a long conversation with Ye (Kanye West). This will be another topic for another time. But he asked me what we could do to help the community. Nonviolently.

I will discuss this further after the New Year in another blog post.

In the meantime, please take a moment to donate minimally $25 and up to this cause. I will send you pictures, videos, and testimonials from the children that you bless for Christmas.

The cost of groceries has gone up. We need your help more than ever.

I am not alone in this battle. There are good people out there that want the same thing. Let me know if you are one of them.

Thank you for your time.

Please share your thoughts in the comments section. And please donate today.
